Governor Otti Decorates ADC Olua, Four Others, Urges Greater Effort

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has decorated his Aide-De-Camp (ADC), DSP Olua Moses Chigoziem, along with four other newly promoted police officers, who were elevated from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

 

The other decorated officers include Aguwa Goodluck, Escort Commander to the Governor; Okejim Desmond Chukwuma, Escort Commander to the wife of the Governor; Chukwudi Joshua Nnanna, Administration Officer – Security, Government House; and Nnaji Peter Ekwe.

Governor Otti expressed gratitude to God and congratulated the officers for their well-deserved promotions, emphasizing that while hard work played a role in their success, it was ultimately God’s grace that set them apart for promotion.

 

“Let me start by thanking God for your promotion. Sometimes, when we are promoted, the tendency to appropriate the promotion as if it’s something that happened because we worked hard; of course, you must have worked hard to be found in the circle of those that will be promoted.

“You will also agree with me that there may have been a lot of other people that worked hard, perhaps even harder, but were not even shortlisted, let alone being among those promoted.”

The Governor congratulated the officers on reaching the new milestone in their careers and reminded them that with their promotion comes increased responsibility.

 

“I want to congratulate all of you for attaining a new height. Before you were adjudged worthy of the new rank you now hold, a lot would have been expected of you. So, when you are compensated with promotion, it requires that you redouble your efforts and work even harder to justify the confidence that the force has in you.

“I have no doubt that you will do well, and I pray that promotion will continue to come your way,” Governor Otti stated.

 

Governor Otti, who praised the officers for their dedication and tireless work, expressed confidence in their continued success and wished them further promotions in the future.

 

“I also want to put on record the excellent work that all of you have been doing around here. It is a 24-hour job. He encouraged them to continue to put in their best, stressing that success in any endeavor requires consistent hard work.

 

In his vote of thanks, ADC DSP Olua thanked God for their promotion, acknowledging that promotion is a gift from God.
