Gov Otti Appoints Dr. Emmanuel Nmereibeole As Special Adviser On Projects

 

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti has appointed Dr. Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Nmereibeole, a retired Permanent Secretary from the Federal Ministry of Aviation, as Special Adviser on Projects.

 

Dr Nmereibeole amongst other duties is also saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the Abia Airport project where he is expected to bring his years of experience and expertise on Aviation matters to bear on the Project.

 


The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu disclosed this while briefing Journalists on the outcome of this week’s Exco Meeting presided over by the Governor.

 

 

Prince Kanu disclosed that Dr. Nmereibeole, before his retirement, served as Chief Policy Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development and previously held positions in the Federal Civil Service, including Permanent Secretary of Service Policies and Strategic Office at the Head of Service and Special Adviser to former Minister of Health, Dr. Onyebuchi Chukwu.

Dr Nmereibeole is an occupational Health Physician, Aero Medical Examiner. In his last days as Permanent Secretary of Aviation were he discharged his duties, he was Chief Policy Adviser to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development.

 

 

At various times during his meritorious years of service in the Federal Civil Service, he was once the Permanent Secretary of service policies and strategic office of the Head of Service and Special Adviser to the former Minister of Health, Dr Onyebuchi Chukwu.

 

“Dr Nmereibeole amongst other duties is to oversee the Abia Airport project while he would bring his years of experience and expertise on aviation matters to bear on that project. There’s no gainsaying the fact the Dr Nmereibeole’s appointment upholds the good governance paradigm in Abia State”, Prince Kanu noted.
