‘Gov Ikpeazu Has Restored The Lost Economic Fortune of Aba’ says Ex Deputy Gov, Nwakanma

The ex Deputy Governor of Abia state, Rt. Hon. Eric Acho Nwakanma has applauded the Abia State, Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu (Ph.D) for restoring the lost economic glory of Aba.

Speaking with newsmen in his hometown, Ohanze Isiahia in Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA), the Chairman, Aba Landlords Association also disclosed that there are remarkable Infrastructural improvement in the commercial nerve of the state under Gov. Ikpeazu which has restored values back to billions of investment in Aba.

In his words: “From 2010 – 2014, there were series of critical Infrastructural decay, couple with insecurity in Aba and a lot of business men and women lost their investments. Landed properties lost value and were sold at peanuts”.

The former Deputy Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly who further revealed that Aba landlords are quite happy with the turnaround in their economic fortune owing to the level of Infrastructural development in Aba, pledged their unalloyed continuous support to Gov. Ikpeazu-led administration.

He further lauded Gov. Ikpeazu for Human Capital Development in the state, noting that the 30 persons, previously trained in China are now improving the economy with their new skills.

Nwakanma who further commended the state governor for marketing Made-in-Aba products, called on Abians and Nigerians at large to patronize Aba-made products, adding that the products now compete favourably with their counterpart in the international market.

He also attributed the existing cordial relationship among the Executive/Legislators, and party faithfuls as a function of selflessness/mutual respect on the side of the governor, highlighting that Gov. Ikpeazu carries everyone along in the scheme of things.

Rt. Hon. Nwakanma further called on Gov. Ikpeazu to allocate more resources to agriculture, adding that it is a goldmine with high Return On Investment (ROI).

“Abia State government under Dr. Ikpeazu has done well in Palm, as Tenera are now yielding fruits. The value chain in palm is increasing day after day. The governor should also diversify to rubber” he further maintained.
