Gov Ikpeazu commissions relief market,directs traders at Isigate to relocate before Oct 10th


Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has directed traders at the Isigate Market to immediately relocate to designated markets as anyone found trading at Isigate axis before the October 10th deadline by the state government would have themselves to blame.
Governor Ikpeazu who gave the directive while Commissioning the newly built sixty stalls in the Ultra Modern Relief Market for traders selling perishable goods at Amuzukwu Umuahia,noted  that there was no need chasing the petty traders away without finding an alternative for them, hence the construction of the relief market adding that the Isigate axis has been designated for another useful purpose.
He disclosed that the market has facilities such as borehole, conveniences among others.

Governor Ikpeazu announced the donation of five thousand naira each for all the traders who displayed their wares today and also promised to hand over five thousand naira each to another batch of traders that would move into the market between today and 2nd October.
Earlier, a Commissioner nominee, Engr. Emma Nwabuko while extolling the Governor for relocating the traders at Isigate by building the relief market expressed satisfaction that the traders now have a befitting relief market.
He said the traders can now do their business till 10 pm as there is light, conveniences, borehole,warehouse and other necessary facilities in the market.
