GIFMAG Honours Abia Gov’s Aide, Hon Umeseaka With Prestigious Award

The Special Adviser to the Abia governor on Teenage Matters, Hon. Chinemenma Umeseaka has been honoured with a prestigious merit award of excellence by GIFMAG concept.

Speaking during the award presentation in Umuahia, Abia state, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), GIFMAG concept, Amb. Godwin Ifeanyi Ferdinand, stated that the award was in recognition of her relentless pursuit, geared towards the good of the girl child which he described as key to nation building.

Applauding further her invaluable contribution through mentoring and re-orientation of teenagers especially the girl child, the GIFMAG boss and the organizer of Most Beautiful Queen in Abia (MBQA), Ferdinand commended Hon. Umeseaka for sacrificing alot for the betterment of the girl child, adding that posterity would judge her kindly.

Responding, Hon. Umeseaka commended GIFMAG boss, Amb. Ferdinand for championing the fight against girl child abuse, charging girls to say ‘NO’ to randy men and stick to it.

 

She decried that most young girls dress scantily, exposing their bodies, lamenting that being naked in the name of fashion does not make anyone beautiful, rather attracts rapists.

 

In her words: “Dressing well does not make you look trashy but classy. You can properly cover up and still look beautiful. Dress the way you would want to be addressed. Don’t dress like a prostitute, rather dress decently”.

The governor’s aide urged girls to avoid premarital sex, conduct themselves properly and avoid staying at odd places at odd time with the opposite sex, adding that they would fulfill their glorious destinies by sticking to these instructions.

She also promised to devout more time and efforts to better the course of the girl child through strategic awareness on Gender Based Violence (GBV).
