Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Lady Valerie Fubara, has urged women across the state to embrace physical fitness as a key component of their overall well-being, alongside their spiritual growth.
She made the call on Thursday at the Ecumenical Centre in Port Harcourt during “Fitness Thursday,” a programme organized by Rivers Women Unite for SIM (RWUS) ahead of the 2025 Women Converge.

Addressing the large crowd of participants, Lady Fubara stressed the importance of regular exercise and healthy living, noting that a strong body contributes significantly to a fulfilling life. “The most important thing is for you to be healthy, knowing that a healthy heart brings a healthy life,” she said.
The event, themed “A Sound Heart Is Life to the Body,” featured various workout sessions and attracted women from different parts of the state.

Lady Fubara also encouraged the participants to remain prayerful and fully engage in the upcoming Women Converge, which she described as a life-changing gathering for women in the state.
