Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has unveiled Infrastructural project directory in the state.
A press statement from his Media Office disclosed them to include:
1. Government Secondary School, Koroma, Tai
2. Government Comprehensive Secondary, School, Alesa Eleme
3. Completion and equipping of Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Borikiri
4. Completion and equipping of Government Secondary School, Eneka
5. Completion and equipping of Government Secondary School, Emohua
6. Completion and equipping of Government Secondary School, Okehi
7. Completion and equipping of Government Secondary School, Orkaki, Ahoada-West
8. Reconstruction and remodeling of Okrika Grammar School, Okrika
9. Reconstruction and remodeling of Kalabari National College, Buguma
10. Completing the Senate Building, ongoing Office Block and Entrepreneurship building at the Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Port Harcourt
11. Completion and equipping of Convocation Arena at the University of Port Harcourt
12. Made payment of over N460million for the completion and equipping of Hostel and Hall facilities at the Nigerian Law School, Yenagoa Campus
13. Recruitment of 1000 teachers
14. Adoption of National Policy on new teachers retirement age from 35 to 40 year of service and/or from 60 to 65 years whichever that comes first.
15. Promotion of all stagnated teachers and payment of all the financial benefits
16. Provided educational materials for Basic and Post-Primary Schools in the State
17. Paid WAEC/NECO/NABTEB fee for 2023/2024 & 2024/2025 sessions
18. Inaugurated all Councils of all the State owned tertiary institutions
19. Approved recruitment of academic and non-academic staff at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni
