Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has suspended Hon. Barrister Otonye Briggs as Chairman of the Akuku-Toru Local Government Caretaker Committee, effective immediately.
Governor Fubara has also appointed Hon. Bitebobo Nelson Amieye to take over the affairs of the council, directing Briggs to hand over all council properties in his possession to the new C.T.C chairman.
