Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Saturday attended the funeral service in honour of the late Mrs. Bietonye Dimieari-Peterside, mother of Senibo Atonyesia Dimieari-Peterside.
The solemn service, held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Opobo Town, drew family members, dignitaries, and well-wishers who gathered to pay tribute to the late matriarch.
Governor Fubara was accompanied by Hon. Fubara Hart and Chief Theodore Georgewill, as the state government joined the family in mourning and celebrating a life of impact and legacy.
During the service, special prayers were offered for Governor Fubara, as well as for the continued peace and progress of Rivers State.
The ceremony was marked by messages of condolence, reflections on Mrs. Bietonye’s life of service and devotion, and a strong show of community solidarity.
