Fubara Honours Agric Commissioner, Victor Kii At Wedding

The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara among  other dignitaries graced the holy solemnization in holy matrimony between Engr. Victor Kii and Mercy Ngozi Udeagha today.

Fubara was accompanied to the wedding by erstwhile Minister of Transport, Dr. Abiye Sekibo, Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, Chief Adokiye Amesemaka, Chief Ambrose Nwuzi, Hon. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, Hon. Anderson Igbiks Alison, members of the State Executive Council amongst others held at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Chaplaincy Catholic Institute of West Africa (CIWA), Port Harcourt. Justice Mary Odili was also in attendance as the Mother of the day.

In a homily, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Bishop Hassan Kukah said marriage is all about deep seated love in the heart for one another even before the gift of children.

He urged the couple to always be patient and focus on God in every situation in order not to fall by the side, adding that divorce is not part of Catholic marriage and doctrine.

Giving a vote of thanks, the Very Reverend Monsignor Dr. Pius Kii commended Governor Siminalayi Fubara for his support for the groom, Victor Kii and for his quiet accomplishments across the State.

In a most surprising event the Church celebrated Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s 50th birthday with a cake and a giant card.
