FRSC Embraces Mobile Patrol, Abolishes Patrol Points In Zone RS9HQ Enugu

 

Following the scrapping of Patrol points in Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States, the Federal Road Safety Corps, has adopted the Mobile speed Patrol approach to facilitate prompt response to road Traffic crash victims and other road emergencies within the zone.

 

The Zonal Commanding Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, (RS9HQ), Enugu, Assistant Corps Marshall Winfred Uche Chukwurah fsi, who stated categorically that henceforth, patrol operatives within the zone will be involved in mobile patrol and no longer static patrol (patrol point).

 

Assistant Corps Marshall Chukwurah announced this during his maiden visit to Abia State Federal Road Safety Command Umuahia, further explained that instead of the static check point style of patrol in the past, the Zone has adopted the mobile patrol operations.

The Zonal Commanding Officer who was on a working visit to the States under his Command including Abia, Enugu, Ebonyi, and Imo charged the officers to brace up to the challenges ahead and develop good attitudinal change with a view to making significant contributions towards the success of the Corps .

She who extolled the commitment and resilience of the personnel in the discharge of their duties, and commended the harmonious relationship existing among sister security agencies, the State government and the press.

The Zonal Commanding Officer emphasized the need for the Commands to continue to enlighten motorists as well as other road users on traffic offences and their consequences, also implored the personnel to Continue it’s public enlightenment to every road user to see road safety as a collective responsibility for all.

Earlier, in his speech, the Sector Commander of FRSC in Abia State, Corps Commander Frederick Ade Ogidan solicited the assistance of the Abia State government, individuals and groups toward the realization of the purpose for which the Corps was established.
