Former Speaker advises Abia Assembly, while Ex-Super Eagles player, others get nod

Former Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Christopher Enweremadu, has hailed the 7th Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji for promoting peace and cordial relationship between them and the executive.

Enweremadu who stated this yesterday, while speaking with newsmen shortly after he was asked to take a bow from the Chambers by his former colleagues, said governance prioritizes peaceful coexistence in the society.

The former Lawmaker who is currently a Commissioner designate advised the House members not to allow personal interest to override their main assignment in governance adding that such could undermine their performances and affect the general interest of the people negatively.

He promised to bring to bear his wealth of experience having served the State in various capacities.

In another development, Ex-Super Eagles international, Paschal Karibe Ojigwe, expressed gratitude to the leadership of the State House of Assembly for acknowledging his services to the country as he was asked to take a bow and exit the Chambers.

He equally thanked the Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for appointing him to serve as a member of his cabinet, and added that his wealth of experience in sports would be beneficial to the State if assigned the Ministry of Sports.
