Former PDP chairman commiserates with family of Late Allen Nwachukwu

 

The Former State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Abia, Sir Ndidi Okereke, has condoled with the family of late Chief Allen Nwachukwu over the death of their father.

Sir Okereke in his condolence message issued by Comrade Uchenna Onwuka (Oyi), expressed shock over the demise of one of the strong pillars of the PDP in the state, describing late Chief Nwachukwu as a brave,committed,defiant party stalwart who ensured that Abia remains a PDP state by always mobilizing and canvassing massively for votes for the PDP  during electoral exercises.

The PDP chieftain disclosed that he is deeply saddened by the loss of Chief Nwachukwu, praying that God grants the family peace and fortitude to bear the loss, while urging the PDP family to remain resolute and strong at this moment of grief.

The former party chairman, further called on Abians to strictly follow the safety guidelines outlined by the NCDC to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus that is currently ravaging the world.

He stated that the fight against coronavirus is not one to be left in the hands of the government alone but demands collective responses if Abia must be Covid 19 free.

According to him,the government have done their part in ensuring adequate measures are taken to stem the spread of the dreaded pandemic and individuals need to put their efforts by complying to the directives of wearing of facemask, observing personal hygiene and maintaining social distancing at all times.

Sir Okereke who has also given out 200 bags of 50kg rice, cash donations to the people of Umunneochi Local Government Area, called on  well meaning Abians to join the state government in providing palliative materials to their people, to  cushion the rising rate of hunger caused by the covid 19 pandemic.

The PDP stalwart, however, prayed for the quick recovery of the state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu who was tested positive to Covid 19, enjoining Abians to always remember the governor in their prayers.
