Former Secretary of Ukwa East Local Government Area (2020–2022), Emmanuel Shebbs, Ph.D, has formally accepted an invitation to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), pledging his commitment to building a strong, united, and progressive party structure in Abia State.
In a letter addressed to the Chairman, Contact and Mobilisation Committee of the ADC in Abia State, Dr. Shebbs expressed appreciation for the party’s invitation dated January 28, 2026, describing his decision to join the ADC as both exciting and timely.
He commended the coalition spirit within the party, noting that the ADC’s alignment of members from diverse political backgrounds, including the PDP, APC, and other groups, reflects a shared commitment to a progressive Nigeria.
According to him, Nigeria’s current political climate represents a critical turning point, requiring collective resolve and purposeful engagement. He affirmed his readiness to contribute meaningfully to strengthening the ADC as it navigates what he described as a transformative phase in the nation’s political history.
Dr. Shebbs assured the party leadership of his unwavering commitment to its growth and development at the ward, local government, and state levels, emphasizing that supporting the ADC’s progressive agenda is both necessary and desirable for the country’s future.
The Ndoki-born technocrat thanked the party for the opportunity and pledged his utmost dedication to advancing its vision in Abia State.
