Flood dismantle Edo INEC office as card readers, computers destroyed

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Benin on Sunday said that the commission lost sensitive and non sensitive materials to flood.

The flood which occurred on Saturday knocked down the fence of the office and ravaged the entire building.

The Edo INEC Administrative Secretary, Mr Lebari Nduh, blamed the flood on the ongoing road construction and the poor drainages at Lucky Way.

He said water gained entrance into some critical stores of the commission where laptops, printing machines and card readers were all soaked with water.
