FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP: Italy vs Argentina

FIFA WOMEN’S WORLD CUP: Italy Narrowly Beat Argentina

Argentina made Italy sweat before they succumbed to a 1-0 defeat to the Europeans at the Eden Park.

Italy got the breakthrough late into the game when substitute Cristiana Girelli, leaped above her marker, and scored the only goal of the match. Thanks to Lisa Boattin, who supplied an excellent cross for the assist.

The goalscorer was only four minutes on the pitch before she got that precious goal that gave the Europeans all the three points.

Italy join Sweden on three points with the Swedes currently top of Group G having scored more goals.
