FIFA, UEFA Suspend All Russian Clubs and National Teams

The Federation of International Football Federation and the European Football Union have banned Russia from international football following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

This means that Russian men’s team will be walked-over by Poland in World Cup qualifiers play-off while their women counterpart will not play in this summer’s Euro 2022 competition.

In club level, Spartak Moscow will be walked-over by RB Leipzig in the round of 16 of this season’s Europa League.

UEFA has also ended its sponsorship deal with Russian energy giant Gazprom.
