The Falconets of Nigeria, last night qualified for the knockout stage of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a hard earned 0-1 victory over South Korea.
Like in the first match against France, the Nigerian girls left it till the 83rd minute, when Esther Onyenezide scored the only goal of the match.
In the group’s other match, France bounced back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory over Canada.
In other matches, 10 girl Netherlands shocked United States 3-0, while defending champions Japan defeated Ghana 2-0.
