The Super Eagles of Nigeria dropped from 36th to 38th in the latest FIFA rankings released today. This drop is not unconnected with the shocking 0-1 loss the Super Eagles suffered in the hands of Central African Republic in a World Cup qualifiers.
However, Nigeria remained fifth in the continent. The Teranga Lions of Senegal are top in Africa and 20th in the world. They are followed by Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria.
Others in the Africa top ten are Egypt, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon and Mali.
In the world ranking, Belgium is the first, followed by Brazil, France and European champions Italy. England is fifth, followed by Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Denmark.
