FFK’s Defection: PDP Has Lost Nothing- Abia PDP Secretary

The State Secretary of the People’s Democratic  Party in Abia, Barr David Iro, has disclosed that the PDP did not loose anything with the recent defection of the former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani -Kayode.

In a statement, the State’s Secretary of the PDP in Abia, said Femi Fani Kayode’s defection to APC is inconsequential, especially at a time Nigerians have ran out of patience with the Party considering the spate of insecurity, rising national debt profile, hyper inflation and increasing poverty rate.

Barr Iro stated that it is too late for APC to jubilate and celebrate FFK’s defection,as his rejoining APC is medicine after death, because  no amount of defection from other parties to APC, will give the APC any form of credibility or value, adding that those joining APC from other  parties would certainly  help to deliver the nation back to the PDP.

“FFK’s defection back to APC  marks the beginning of his inglorious political retirement which is most unfortunate.

“There is no justification or whatsoever for FFK’s defection, but rather a glaring show of selfish interest”,he added.

However, he, affirmed that the PDP has nothing to loose in the defection of the former minister, stressing that FFK’s inconsistency in party politics is a big minus in his character as a politician and nobody would take him serious.

Barr Iro maintained that if oratory and eloquency were integrity, FFK would have been a model to the youth, but he has shown that he is a fair weather politician, that wants to be at the centre of every government in power.

“It is unfortunate that his like of politician will want to be at the centre of every government in power and as well, be sustained by state resources. Otherwise, there is no attraction in APC anywhere to warrant any man of honour to identify with the party.

“Nevertheless, we bid him farewell, let’s see how far he can move Nigeria for the better in APC”, he stated.
