Festus Keyamo receives human rights award in US

One of Nigeria’s new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN), Festus Keyamo, has just added another feather to his myriads of professional honours. The unrepentant social crusader, critic, columnist and human rights lawyer was one of the select-few personalities of international repute that delivered papers at this year’s Africa and Middle East Peace Conference that held during the week in Washington DC, United States.

The vibrant legal practitioner, according to sources from the US Global Leadership office in Nigeria, delivered papers on ‘Achieving The Heights of Peace Through Proactive Dialogue and Economic Development.’

He was also honoured with a human rights award in appreciation of his selfless contributions to the promotion, protection and making a difference in the human rights community. Keyamo’s choice of invitation and honour was ostensibly based on his track records, wisdom and ability to reach across cultural divides.
