The Federal Polytechnic, Ukana in Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State said it has started the sale of National Diploma (ND) programme forms into the department of Computer Science and Statistics of the school of Applied Sciences.
The institution in a release signed by the Registrar, Dr. Okon J. Ekanem, which was made available to journalists in Uyo on Monday invited candidates with 5 credit level passes in SSCE, (NECO, WAEC) or GCE and has a minimum score of 130 in the 2020/2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, (UTME) to pay the sum of N2,000 for screening at the School Bursary Department on or before the 30th of March, 2021.
The statement explained that admission requirement for the ND Computer Science programme included, Five credit level passes in the SSCE, NECO, and GCE O’Level or its equivalent adding that the subjects must include Mathematics,Physics and English Language and any other two of the following: “Chemistry, Economics,Further Mathematics, Statistics,Agricultural Science, Geography and Biology.”
It further explained that candidates applying for the National Diploma in Statistics must posses Five credit level passes in the SSCE, NECO,GCE O Level or its equivalent in Mathemaics and English Language and any other three of the following: ‘Physics, Chemistry,Economics, Further Mathematics,Statistics, Agricultural Science, Geography and Biology.”
The statement added that qualified candidates should change their institution to Federal Polytechnic Ukana and course in
line with the available courses in the institution
The statement read in parts, “Candidates are to pay the sum of (#2,000) for screening, on or before the 30th of March 2021.All payments should be done at the Bursary Department of the polytechnic. Candidates are to come along with original and photocopies of credentials and a recent passport photograph.
“The screening exercise has been scheduled to hold on 30th March,2021 at 10am, at the GS Hall, Annex Campus.
