Fed Lawmaker, Nkwonta Commissions Water Project For Constituents, Receives Defected Members To APC

A solar powered borehole has been commissioned in Umuorie, Ozaa-West Ward by the Honourable Member Representing Ukwa Federal Constituency and the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on South East Development Commission,Hon.Chris Nkwonta in fulfilment of part of his campaign promises to his constituents.

Commissioning the water project on Sunday,the Federal Lawmaker thanked the people of Ozaa-West for their support and for believing in him noting that he will continue to deliver more dividends of democracy in the Federal Constituency..

 

 

Describing water as life,Hon.Nkwonta disclosed that the solar powered borehole will solve the water problem which the people has been facing over the years..

Speaking during the ceremony,a former Deputy Chairman of Ukwa West and a one time Cluster President of Oil and Gas in Ukwa West, Engr.Chikodinaka Ogbonna,appreciated the Honourable Member on behalf of the people of Umuorie, describing the project as the first federal government project to be sited in their community while assuring him of their continued support and loyalty.

Similarly, the Lawmaker has received thousands of members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukwa West Local Government Area of the State on Sunday..

Receiving the decampees in their Ozaa-Ukwu, Ozaa-West and IPU South Wards respectively,the Honourable Member,Hon.Chris Nkwonta said President Bola Tinubu’s style of leadership endeared them to the party while assuring the defectors of equal treatment and fairness..

Hon Nkwonta added that the defectors joined the party support the President towards achieving his Renewed Hope Agenda.
