The Traditional Ruler of Umukabia Okaiuga Alike Autonomous Community, Ohuhu Umuahia north LGA Eze Sir Uzo Nwosu has described the one year anniversary of Governor Alex Otti in office as one full of landmark achievements.
Eze Uzo Nwosu while reacting to the one year anniversary of the Governor in Umuahia during the formal commissiong of the newly reconstructed 6- lane mission Hill- Ossah- Express Tower road, Umuahia by an Elder statesman Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe Rtd, noted that Governor Alex Otti has through monumental projects in Umuahia,Aba and other parts of Abia state justified the mandate given to him by Ndi-Abia.
The Royal father who listed some of the Governor’s giant strides in the state to include retrofitting of various health Institutions in the state, the ongoing reconstruction of Port Harcourt road in Aba,flag off of the reconstruction of Osisioma-NNPC-Ekeakpara road among other infrastructural Projects in Aba and Umuahia.
“The Governor has demystified governance and shown good leadership in Abia, posterity will never forget him.
“The construction of various road projects across the state is a clear evidence that Governor Otti recognizes the importance of infrastructure for development.
“Governor Otti has prioritized the provision of infrastructure and road networks. If you go round the state, you will find out that the Governor has turned Aba into a huge construction site.
“I have many friends doing business in various parts of Aba and they are full of testimony for this administration“.
“I advise Governor to remain focused in implementing his developmental blueprint for our dear state. I am happy with the ones he has done so far.
Eze Nwosu , the Ojim 1 of Ojim Ukwu Nnuegbe further commended the Governor for the regular payment of workers salaries, defraying of arrears of pensions owed by previous administrations which he noted has resuscitated lives of pensioners who have suffered many years untold hardship.
He also appreciated the achievements of the Governor in the areas of security, waste management , SMEs and Agriculture as well the increment of the monthly stipend of the traditional rulers to the statutory 5 percent.
“His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti has within one year in office redefined Leadership in our state, his people centric administration is second to none and has impacted greatly on our people in the last one year”.
