Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Dr Linus Nto Mbah, has commended Governor Alex Otti for his impressive array of people-oriented and economy-boosting projects executed across the state in 2025.
Speaking on Sunday, while interacting with Journalists in his office in Umuahia, the Royal Father said the scale and spread of infrastructural development under the Otti administration has significantly improved socio-economic activities and the quality of life of residents.
Eze Nto Mbah particularly highlighted major road projects undertaken by the State Government, including the Umuahia–Uzuakoli–Akara–Alayi–Abiriba Road, Ndiokereke–Abam–Amuvi–Arochukwu Road, Ohafia–Ihechiowa–Ututu–Arochukwu Road, and the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road, Aba, among several others across different parts of the State.
The Traditional Ruler noted that the Otti led administration made notable strides in the Education and Health sectors in 2025.
He listed the renovation of public schools, the recruitment of over 5,000 teachers, the retrofitting and upgrading of Hospitals, as well as the employment of additional Healthcare workers, as key interventions that had strengthened public service delivery in Abia.
The Monarch also expressed appreciation to Governor Otti for extending Christmas largesse to Traditional Rulers in the State, describing the gesture as a mark of respect for Traditional institutions.
He further commended the Governor’s wife, Mrs Priscilla Otti, for her support to Ndi Ugoeze and widows across Abia State during the Yuletide.
On Security, Eze Nto Mbah applauded the State Government and Security Agencies for ensuring a hitch-free ember months and peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The Royal Father said the prevailing atmosphere of safety encouraged Abians in the diaspora to return home for the festivities without fear.
He congratulated security Agencies operating in the State for their professionalism and dedication, noting that their efforts contributed significantly to the calm and orderly celebrations witnessed across Abia.
Eze Nto Mbah used the opportunity to felicitate Governor Otti, his family, the Deputy Governor, Engr Ikechukwu Emetu, members of the State Executive Council and Abians on the New Year.
He called on residents to embrace 2026 with renewed hope, optimism and vigour, assuring that the year would bring greater opportunities, and urged them to sustain their support for the Otti led administration.
