The Chairman of the Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah has congratulated Governor Alex Otti on his two years anniversary describing his achievements in office as transformational and unprecedented.
In a goodwill message to mark the occasion, Eze Nto Mbah congratulated the Governor, his family, and members of the State Executive Council, expressing deep satisfaction with the Governor’s performance since assuming office in 2023.
“Governor Otti has proven to be Chioma Ndi Abia, the good fortune of Abians. His performance in just two years is not only commendable but truly unprecedented in the history of our dear state”, Eze Ntoh declared.
The royal father highlighted the Governor’s accomplishments in critical sectors, citing massive improvements in road infrastructure across various communities, the renovation of public schools, and the introduction of free and compulsory basic education.
He also lauded the retrofitting of over 200 primary healthcare centres and the upgrading of some facilities into specialist hospitals, all of which he said have positively impacted the lives of the people.
“From health to education, roads to security, Governor Otti has rewritten the story of governance in Abia State. His achievements speak volumes and show a clear departure from the past”, the Royal father noted.
Eze Ntoh commended the Governor’s focus on the welfare of workers and pensioners, noting the prompt clearance of salary and pension arrears inherited from previous administrations and the institutionalization of regular payments on the 28th of every month.
“The Governor has restored dignity to our civil servants and pensioners. He has created a conducive environment where workers feel valued and motivated.
“His commitment to workers’ welfare has restored confidence in public service. For the first time in years, civil servants and pensioners in Abia can plan their lives with certainty”,
he stated.
The revered Monarch also appreciated the Governor’s gesture towards traditional institutions in the state and acknowledged the upward review of the monthly stipend for traditional rulers to at least ₦250,000, the completion and furnishing of their secretariat at the JAAC building, and the organization of the first-ever Abia State Traditional Rulers Workshop.
“We are deeply grateful for the Governor’s consistent support for the traditional institution. From the improved stipend to the new secretariat and special Christmas packages, he has given us a sense of belonging”, Eze Ntoh said.
While praying for continued strength and wisdom for Governor Otti as he steps into the third year of his administration, Eze Nto Mbah called on all Abians and residents to sustain their support for the Governor.
“Governor Otti has laid a solid foundation for the transformation of Abia. I urge all Abians to continue to rally behind him so that the gains of good governance can be sustained and deepened”, he advised.
