The wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu, has congratulated Mr. Eze Ajuzie, a former Director at Information Ministry over his elevation to the rank of permanent secretary in the state civil service.
Speaking with Journalists at the State Government House in Umuahia, Mrs. Ikpeazu said it is a well deserved elevation.
Swearing in the new permanent secretaries recently at the State Executive Chamber, Governor Ikpeazu charged them to drive the vision and policies of the administration into the civil service especially in the area of job creation.
According to him, “all other aspects of governance including infrastructures are important but not as important as job creation that is why this administration is laying serious emphasis on Enyimba Economic City which at completion would provide about 7, 000 jobs and above for our youths, therefore I want you to drive the policies of this administration to your various ministries “.
However, Gov. Ikpeazu noted that there is a lot of anomalies going on in the state civil service and task the newly sworn in permanent secretaries to corroborate the reforms embark by the administration to restore discipline and order.
He maintains that the civil service is the engine room that drives every administration without which no government can succeed and wish them well as they work for the progress of the state.
The newly sworn in permanent secretaries are Mr. Nwachukwu Isaac, Mr. Ikpeoha Friday, Mr. Eze Ajuzie, and Mrs. Joy Dimanochie.
Others are Mr. Nwaigwe Innocent, Mr. Ngwakwe Amarachi and Mr. Njoku Okwuchi.
Responding on behalf of the newly sworn in permanent secretaries, Mr. Nwachukwu Isaac, thanked the Governor for finding them worthy and assured that they will work to actualise the vision and policies of the administration.
Meanwhile in a chart with National Ambassador, Eze Ajuzie, one of the newly sworn in permanent secretary said that the elevation calls for commitment effective discharge of government policies to results for the government.
