Excitement as Abia Lawmaker gives Bursaries to over 50 Students from Arochukwu

It was a thing of joy and fanfare for some students of Arochukwu LGA numbering about 51, as they benefitted from the bursary award offered by the Minority Whip/member representing Arochukwu State Constituency, Abia House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha.

The students under the auspices of National Association of Arochukwu Students (NAAS), were full of excitement.

Speaking at Aggrey Primary School field, Ibom, Arochukwu, the benefactor Hon. Dr. Mike Ukoha explained that it is his desire and passion to see students of Arochukwu LGA, becoming great in future through hard work and efforts in their studies.

He went further to state that the bursary award to the beneficiaries, was part of his own contribution and support in their studies.

Hon. Ukoha noted that though the amount might be nothing to write home about, but that what matters is the heart in given the bursary.

He disclosed that plans is in top gear for his office to start conducting free lessons for those sitting for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Exams and SSCE exams, in order to sharpen the brains of our students, so that they can become better citizens in future.

Also speaking, first Vice President Nzuko Arochukwu Worldwide, Mazi Dozie Udensi, thanked the Lawmaker for the bursary award to the students, saying that with this, he has set the pace for others to follow.

He stated that this is the first of its kind something of this nature is taking place in the LGA, adding that Hon. Ukoha, has been able to unite Arochukwu LGA, through his many laudable programs.

Mazi Udensi, advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the token given to them and also harped on the need for them to take their studies seriously.

On his part, the President National Association of Arochukwu Students(NAAS), Comrade Okereke Victor, thanked the Lawmaker for magnanimity and his passion for the youths.

He described him as a man of his own word and an educational friendly lawmaker, pointing out that his good works will continue to speak for him.

Among those who benefited from the bursary includes Ezra Ekpere from Ozu Abam, a student of Alex Ekwueme University, Ebonyi State, Ikegbu Chizaram, from Achara Ihechiowa, a student of ASCETA, Kanu Goodness Ezinne, from Amannagwu Arochukwu, a student of ASCETA, Okereke Benedict P., Ihechiowa, Augustine Victoria, from Obiene Ututu, Ijeoma Anna O., from Isu Aro, and Okereke Victor O. from Obinkita Arochukwu, among others.
