Ex Abia Deputy Gov, Obingwa Stakeholders, Others Commiserate With Erondu Jnr Over Brother’s Demise

The former Deputy Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Eric Acho Nwakanma has commiserated with the lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State constituency in Abia state House of Assembly (ABHA), Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr over the death of his elder brother – Late Elder Azubuike Erondu.

The two times Deputy Governor and a member, PDP Board of Trustee (BoT), who stated this yesterday during a condolence visit at Erondu’s residence in Mgboko Umuanunu, Obingwa Local Government Area (LGA) Abia State, added that the deceased was a devoted community leader who has paid his dues for peace and development of Obingwa and Abia state, describing as shocking the death of Late Azubuike Erondu.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He urged Abia Lawmaker, Erondu Jnr and the entire family of the deceased to take heart and be consoled that Late Azubuike Erondu would always be remembered for good by the people of Uhie, Obingwa LGA, Abia state and beyond.

In his speech, a member, National Executive Committee (NEC) of PDP, Chief Barr. Ibe Nwadioha, condoled with Erondu’s family, friends and associates, urging trust in God for comfort and care during the very difficult period of pain and deep reflection.

He added that the testimonies of the late elder brother should provide strength for the family, knowing that he lived well, and served the will of the Almighty God.

Contributing, the Obingwa LGA stakeholders led by Hon. Rowland Nwakanma, said that the death of Late Azubuike Erondu was not just a personal loss but that of the entire Obingwa LGA, Abia State and beyond, maintaining that the deceased served the people with utmost honesty and dedication to duty in all assignments entrusted to him.

Meanwhile, the leader Nzuko Ukwu, Mgboko Umuanunu, Hon. Eziuche Ubani has expressed rude shock over the death of Late Azubuike Erondu, describing him as a man of the people.

Represented by Hon. Chief Collins Nwakanma, he prayed for the repose of his soul, and fortitude for the family to bear the loss.

Meanwhile, United Evangelical Church (UEC), Umuaro Area Conference, Standing Committee, led by Rev. Charles Chinwendu Nwaogwugwu has also condoled with Erondu Jnr over the death of his elder brother, urging him not to grief so much but take solace that his brother left indelible footprints in the sands of time.

In their separate remarks, Ndi Eze old Mgboko Umuanunu led by Eze M.O. Anaba; Council of Chief Mgboko Umuanunu led by Chief Emeka Ihejirika and Umuaro Women led by Madam Vivian Ndubuisi, extolled the virtues of Late Azubuike Erondu, describing him as a dedicated community leader who sacrificed alot for community building, peace and development.

Also, the deceased maternal relations from Umuagu, led by Pastor Uzoma Anucha, described Late Azubuike Erondu demise as painful and irreparable loss.

They further described the deceased as a selfless pillar of support to them who would always put others first in all his endeavours.

In a related development, the Voice of Aba, led by Prince Odonta said that Late Azubuike Erondu left behind a legacy for the upcoming generations to emulate, urging the family of the departed to take heart and be consoled.

They all prayed God to grant the faithful departed eternal rest and supply the family and the community with the needed consolation in this difficult moment of grief.

In his response, the lawmaker representing Obingwa-West State constituency in Abia state House of Assembly (ABHA) and the younger brother of the deceased; Erondu Uchenna Erondu Jnr, thanked the people for the show of love to the family in these trying times.

He noted that the death of his Elder brother was one that has traumatized him, the entire Erondu family and the community, owing to his immense heart of love for everyone irrespective of age, gender, religious and political divide.

The former chairman, Obingwa LGA, also revealed that the funeral activities for his late elder brother have been scheduled to hold between November 28 and 29, 2024 at his country home, Azuogwugwu Village, Mgboko Umuanunu Ancient Kingdom, Obingwa LGA, Abia state.

Other dignitaries at the event include; Chief Ezinwa Abiri, Chief Isaac Ogbonna, Eze Paulson Kachi Nwankwo, Elder Chiemela Moses, Elder Bendick Odogwu, Onwuzuruigbo Ukaegbu, Chief A.G. Nwanorue, Chijioke Omeonu and Kachi Omeonu.
