Every on going projects will be completed soon- Ikpeazu.

Abia state Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu says his administration is working hard to ensure that some of the on-going road projects in parts of the state are completed this dry season.

The Governor stated this while speaking with newsmen after inspecting some on-going road projects in Aba the commercial hub of the state.

He expressed satisfaction that work is going on well in most construction sites across the state,adding that he was happy that the contractors were working according to specifications in the sites visited.

“The contractors are working according to specifications and the speed with which they are going will give us the magnitude expected this dry season window”, he said.

“We are satisfied and hopeful that between now and the next two months, we will be through with most of the projects.”

He called on builders to obey town planning laws and get requisite approval from the appropriate authorities to avoid the wrath of the law.

Dr Ikpeazu said that his administration is doing all to ensure that Enyimba stadium is ready for use by Enyimba Football Club this new season.

According to him, the government has spent about N300m so far on the stadium, adding that he is determined to deliver to Enyimba a 24thcentury stadium.

“Hopefully, we are determined to deliver a 24th century stadium. For crying out loud, a stadium is not just a patch of grass”.

He said rehabilitation job will look at the new VIP stand, the electronic scoreboard and conveniences among others.
