The two English clubs campaigning in this season’s Europa League, Chelsea and Arsenal won their first leg quarterfinal matches.
Playing at the Emirate Stadium, Arsenal defeated Napoli of Italy 2-0. Aaron Ramsey opened the scoring for the home side on the 14th minute.
Kalidou Koulibaly’s own goal on the 25th minute doubled Arsenal lead.
On the other hand, Chelsea left it late before Marcos Alonso headed in the lone goal with which the Blues defeated Slavia Praha.
In other matches, Benfica hammered Eintracht 4-2 while Villareal lost 1-3 at home to Valencia.
The second leg of all the matches will take place on April 18th.
