EUROPA LEAGUE: Ndidi Scores As Leicester City Top Group C

Leicester City took over the leadership of group C and put themselves in pole position to qualify for next round of the UEFA Europa League with a 3-1 victory over Legia Warsaw.

The Foxes started the game bottom of their group. They knew what they had to do and they did it within the first 45 minutes.

Patson Daka and James Maddison put the home side before Filip Mednovic reacted fastest to score after Kasper Schmeichel had saved Mahir Emreli’s penalty.

Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi headed in from a corner kick to extinguish any hope of a fight back by the visitors.

Leicester City are now leading with a single point above Spatak Moscow and will progress if they get a favorable result against Napoli on match day six.
