The possibility of two English clubs playing in the finals of this season’s Europa League is still on as Chelsea and Arsenal qualified for the semi-finals.
The Blues, playing at home were 4-1 up before the break, but they allowed their opponents, Slavia Prague to score twice in the second half, which brought the match to a nervy end.
However, Chelsea qualified 5-3 on aggregate.
Their London neighbors, Arsenal traveled to Italy to confront Napoli. Lacazette scored a 36th-minute free kick to give the Gunners the day.
Unai Emery’s men thus qualify on 3-0 aggregate.
While Chelsea will take on Eintracht Frankfurt, who eliminated Benfica on away goals rule as the aggregate score was 4-4, Arsenal will lurk horns with Valencia, who qualified for the semi-finals after thrashing fellow La Liga side, Villareal 5-1 on aggregate.
