Etteh Congratulates Gov Eno On Supreme Court Ruling

The member representing Eket/ONNA/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has congratulated governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State over the Supreme Court judgment which confirmed him the duly elected governor of the state at the 2023 governorship election.

Hon. Etteh made this known following the Justice Uwani Abba-Aji-Panel dismissal of the appeals by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and the Action Alliance (AC), based on the non-qualification of Pastor Eno over allegations of certificate forgery.

He said the judgement has placed Eno as the “politically elected, legally inaugurated and judicially confirmed Governor of Akwa Ibom State.”

He further said that the apex Court ruling has put paid to speculations, intimidations and all activities of the oppositions adding that it has repositioned Akwa Ibom for peace, unity, progress, and prosperity.

He,therefore, called on stakeholders and the people of the state to “join hands and make the Akwa Ibom Project, as led by Pastor Umo Eno, a success for all.”

Hon. Etteh, who is the Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on University Education commended the governor for his resilience and steadfastness and desire to serve the people.

His words, “Pastor Umo Eno has shown resilience, steadfastness, and commitment to the Akwa Ibom project as enshrined in the ARISE Agenda by his action in the political development of Akwa Ibom State. To this end, I sincerely congratulate him on this landmark victory.”
