ESUT Business School Seeks Partnership with Abia Information Ministry

The Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Business School has paid a courtesy visit to the Abia State Commissioner for Information to seek collaboration.

The delegation, led by Mr. Anibueze Cyril, visited the Commissioner in his office and discussed possible areas of partnership between the school and the Ministry of Information.

Welcoming the team, the Commissioner, who is an alumnus of ESUT, expressed happiness over the visit. He praised the Business School for maintaining high academic standards and promoting innovation in postgraduate education. He said education remains important for sustainable development and nation-building.

The Commissioner thanked the delegation for identifying with him as a former student of the institution and for seeking partnership with the Ministry. He noted that the Abia State Government, led by Governor Dr. Alex Otti, remains committed to improving education and developing human capital in the state.

He assured the team that the Ministry is ready to work with ESUT Business School, especially in creating awareness about flexible learning programmes that can help public servants, media professionals, and other workers improve their skills.

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information, Sir Chris Onwuegbu, described the visit as timely. He said continuous professional development is necessary in today’s fast-changing digital world. He added that the school’s mix of physical and online learning provides a good opportunity for working professionals who want to further their education without affecting their jobs.

Speaking earlier, Mr. Anibueze Cyril said the purpose of the visit was to strengthen ties with the Commissioner as a distinguished alumnus and to seek cooperation with the Ministry.

He announced that ESUT Business School has introduced fully structured online programmes, including Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Science (MSc), Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Doctor of Public Administration (DPA), and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).

According to him, the school operates modern online lectures with the aim of “bringing the classroom to your home.” He said the faculty includes experienced academics and industry experts who combine theory and practical knowledge. He also stated that the programmes are designed for timely completion and are free from disruptions such as strikes.

The delegation commended Governor Alex Otti for his reforms and achievements in the education sector.

The visit ended with both parties expressing readiness to work together to promote education and professional development in Abia State.
