Chelsea Football Club will host defending champions and league leaders, Manchester City in an explosive encounter later today in the EPL.
The Blues are entering this all important encounter in the backdrop of a 2-1 defeat to Wolves while Manchester City are yet to lose a match this season.
Ten points separate Manchester City on top of the league table from Chelsea, who are fouth.
Maurizio Sarri is attributing his side recent struggles to the challenges associated to adapting to a new playing pattern. He said, “I knew very well that sooner or later we have to face difficulties. When you change the way of playing, the way of football, you need to change the mentality.
“You need to change the mentality in 25 minds, so it’s not a short way. It’s very difficult.”
Manchester City manager, Pep Goardiola on his part, expects Chelsea to come out fighting very hard, “How will they react after losing? I can imagine how intense, committed they will be.”
Chelsea strikers must be ruthless in front of goal as Manchester City have won the last three meetings in all competitions, including this season’s Community Shield, without conceding a goal.
In today’s other fixtures, ninth placed Leicester City will host third placed Tottenham, while, West Ham welcome Crystal Palace.
Manchester United will hope to return to winning ways when they welcome bottom placed Fulham at the Old Trafford. Cardiff will host Southampton while Burnley will host Leon Balogun’s Brighton.
Huddersfield will face in-form Arsenal at the Emirate Stadium while Liverpool will tackle Bournemouth in the early kick-off.
