EPL UPDATE: Spurs Leapfrog Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspurs are back to the third spot on the league table after a commanding 4-0 demolition of Huddersfield.

Victor Wanyama opened scoring for the home side on the 24th minute before Lucas Moura made it two three minutes later. A brace in the second half helped Moura complete a heart-trick; the first in the new Spurs stadium.

With these three points, Spurs have displaced Chelsea on the third place with 67 points while the Blues are now fourth with 66 points.

In other matches, Brighton were hammered 0-5 at home by Bournemouth while Burnley were 2-0 better than Cardiff. Already relegated Fulham shocked Everton 2-0 while Southamptom consumed Wolves by 3-1.

Manchester United bounced back to winning ways after they lost to Barcelona by a lone goal in the mid-week, with a hard earned 2-1 victory over West Ham.

On Sunday, the battle for the EPL title will resume as Crystal Palace host Manchester City while Liverpool ambush Chelsea at Armfield.

Monday will see Watford and Arsenal battle for supremacy.
