This win have lifted the Saints from the drop zone while Arsenal remain on 5th spot.
EDEN HAZARD LIFTS CHELSEA OVER BRIGHTON
Eden Hazard displayed a scintillating performance that saw him provide assist and score as well as Chelsea tighten their grip on the fourth spot with a 2-1 win over Brighton.
Chesea manager Maurizio Sarri was full of praise for Eden Hazard who put a pass across the face of goal for Pedro to tap in on the 17th minute.
Sixteen minutes later Hazard scored Chelsea’s second as he outran Brighton’s defenders to make it 2-0.
Solly March gave the home side a consolatory strike in the second half.
While Brighton will travel to Bournemouth on Saturday for their next league action, Chelsea will play on Wednesday against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-final before the Blues will host Liecester on Saturday in a league clash.
