United came into the game basking in the euphoria of their 3-1 victory over PSG in the UEFA Champions League while Arsenal were under the weight of their 3-1 defeat to Rennes of France in the Europa League.
Emery retained six players who lost in France, yet his side were lively not showing any sign of fatigue. It took only 12 minutes for Arsenal to draw the first blood through Granit Xhaka.
The Gunners doubled their lead in the second half when Fred fouled Lacazette and Aubameyeng converted from the spot.
