Leon Balogun Scores As Brighton Win M23 Derby

Nigeria international, Leon Balogun found the back of the net just 25 seconds after coming on to give Brighton a 2-0 lead over Crystal Palace. Leon replaced Paschal Gross in a tactical substitution after defender, Shane Duffy was red carded.

Glenn Murray had earlier given the home side the lead from the spot. Florin And one ran 40 yards before he fired in Brighton’s third goal on the stroke of half time.

The visitors got a consolatory second half goal, but, Brighton were already home and dry with another three points and are now 10th on the log.

 

Bournemouth Overcome Huddersfield Huddle

Bournemouth are temporarily 6th on the table after they defeated Huddersfield 2-1. Callum Wilson and Ryan Fraser scored to put the home side in front before Kongolo headed one back for the visitors to ignite the hope of a come back which never happened.

Both teams have difficult matches this weekend. While Bournemouth host Liverpool, Huddersfield will travel to the Emirate Stadium to face Arsenal.

 

West Ham Hammer Cardiff City

After a goalless first half, West Ham hammered their visitors Cardiff City 3-1. It seemed the home side are in for another bad night when a penalty was awarded to the visitors. But, Lukasz Fabianski in goal for the Hammers came to their rescue. Hit man Marko Arnautovic  was injured in the first half and replaced by Perez.

Perez stepped up to the occasion in the second half by scoring two goals in five minutes.

Michail Antonio headed the third goal. Josh Murphy bundled in a consolation goal for the visitors with the last kick of the game.

 

Unstoppable Man City Whip Watford

Manchester City remained unbeaten in the EPL this season after they turned out to be bad visitors defeating their host 2-1.

A goal in each half by Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez were all the Citizens needed to pocket another three points.

The home side pulled one back through Doucoure on the 85th minute to give the match a nervy end, but the visitors defended stoutly to keep the rampaging visitors at bay.

While City maintain their lead on the table, Watford have dropped to 11th place.
