Manchester City returned to their glory days as they made mincemeat of Ipswich at the Portman Road with a 6-0 victory.
They put behind them their woeful outing in their last match which saw them threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Brentford.
The visitors started like a house on fire and were in front when Phil Foden found the back of the net in the 27th minute. Three minutes later, Mateo Kovacic made it two before Foden added the third three minutes before the break.
After the break, Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and James McAtee scored a goal each to seal the victory for the defending champions, who are now fourth on the table with 38 points while Ipswich are still wallowing in the murky waters of relegation with only 16 points.
Earlier today, David Moyes’ return to Everton continues to bear fruits as his side defeated Tottenham Hotspur 3-2.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iliman Ndiaye and Archie Gray scored a goal each to put Everton three goals up at Goodison Park in the first half.
Spurs woke up in the second half and scored through Kulusevski and Richarlison, but failed to find the equalizer as Everton took all three points to go four points above relegation zone and 16th on the table.
