EPL: Liverpool Go 5 Points Clear As Norwich Stun Man. City

Liverpool are now five points clear at the top of the English Premier League after their closest rivals, Manchester City stumbled at Carrow Road.

Liverpool, who were playing at home against Newcastle United went behind on the 7^th minute when Wilems scored with Newcastle’s only attempt on goal.

But, the European champions rallied round to equalize and went in front through Sadio Mane’s 28^th and 40^th minute strikes.

Mohamed Salah put the icing on the cake on the 72^nd minute to give Liverpool a comprehensive 3-1 victory.

Defending champions were expected to win at Carrow Road, at least to keep up the pressure Liverpool. Unfortunately, Norwich City were 2-1 up before the break and made it 3-1 early in the second half.   Rodri’s 88^th minute goal could only make the score line respectable as Norwich ran away with a memorable victory.

In other matches, Tammy Abraham scored four goals as Chelsea destroyed Wolves at Molineux. He scored an own goal and a hat-trick as Chelsea defeated giant-devouring Wolves 5-2.

Manchester United defeated Leicester City with a lone penalty converted by Marcus Rashford while Brighton and Burnley settled for a 1-1 draw.

Sheffield United were disunited at home 0-1 by Southampton as Tottenham disgraced crystal Palace 4-0.
