EPL: Chelsea, Tottenham Crush Opponents

Just few days after losing 1-3 at the Stamford Bridge to Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea thrashed Southampton 6-0 at the St Mary’s Stadium. This is a perfect way to end a very difficult week which started with a 4-1 loss to Brentford.

Marcos Alonso and Kai Havertz scored one goal each. Mason Mount and Timo Wener scored a brace each to complete the anihilation.

Similarly, Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur produced a classical performance that saw them whitewash Aston Villa 4-0 with South Korean international Son Heung-Min scoring a hat-trick.

In other matches, wobbling Manchester United lost to Everton by a lone goal while Brighton defeated Arsenal 2-1.
