EPL ACTION: Man City Target Returning To Winning Ways.

Manchester City will be playing their first Premier League match today after losing 2-0 to Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. The loss was their first this season and made them drop to second place on the league table.

The Citizens will host Everton at the Etihad Stadium with only one aim: to defeat Everton and return to the summit of the league table before Liverpool play on Sunday.

City manager believes winning is the best thing they will have to accomplish today; “Last season one of the secrets was when we dropped points we were able to make another big run, winning games and winning games. It’s important but we must focus on what we have to do and try to beat them.”

However the match will not be a stroll in the park for the home side as Manchester City have only won two of their past seven league and cup games against Everton.

Everton manager, Marco Silva, admits the match will be difficult for his side but expressed joy at the challenge; “It will be tough for us, but it is a good game for us to enjoy, to challenge a team like City. Our players have shown we like these type of games.”

In other fixtures today, Crystal Palace will host Leicester City. A loss for the home side can see them drop to the relegation zone.

Relegation haunted Huddersfield will host Newcastle United as Tottenham tackles Burnley. Watford welcome Cardiff City while Wolves lurk horns will Bournemouth. The last match for today will see bottom placed Fulham welcome West Ham United.
