It was an atmosphere filled with joy as the business community in Aba, the commercial hub of the state, rolled out their drums to welcome Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, as he officially commissioned the Enyimba Mall Outlet Shops. It is the first modern Mall in Aba and the best in the southeast region of the country.
Before now, the entire length and breath of this place was notorious for harbouring questionable characters whose nefarious activities constantly posed serious security threat to residents of this community and beyond. But, the coming of this mall has changed the nagetive narratives of this place.
The developer of Enyimba Mall, a real estate commercial venture and Managing Director, Checkbest International Limited, Mr. Chiedozie Njoku has explained that his vision for establishing the mall amidst all is to bring back economic vibrancy to Aba.
Mr. Njoku made this known during the official opening of the mall. He decide to build the mall in Aba to bring his business experience back home from the USA and impact on the social economic status of Abia State.
According to him, Aba needs modern environment for the shopping, adding that modern environment would have a triple effect on economic growth of Aba.
Enyimba Mall which occupies thirty two thousand(32,000) square meters of land comprises structure constructed on eleven thousand(11,000) square meters over two floors, boasts about four hundred(400) shops are all equipped with standard fire prevention and fighting technology, with the convenience of adequate car-parking space and well-spaced out arcades.
While the offtakers are traders who deal on various business from textiles to pharmaceuticals, beauty products, fashion accessories, electronics, electrical, grocery, corporate offices,food courts, etc. Both sellers and buyers in this mall are treated to round-the-clock electricity supply from diesel powered generators and solar energy. The Enyimba Mall is designed with Ultimate comfort and safety in mind.
Mr. Njoku appluaded Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, for his support, encouragement and creating a good environment for this project to be a success.
Gov. Ikpeazu upon assumption of office in 2015, quickly tackled the deteriorating macro-economic environment in the state and restored the confidence of private investors in order to improve the overall economic vibrancy of the state. This has played a huge role in creating a conducive environment for public-private sector partnership to thrive, which Enyimba Mall is a great testimony of it.
Njoku also appreciated the efforts of Abia State Public Private Partnership And Investment Promotions, led by Mr. Chinedu Nwogu, the Acting Director General, for their commitments and dedication.
