The place of the private sector is indispensable in the provision of economic vibrancy and in the growth and development of a State. Public-private sector partnership in diversifying the economy of Abia State is no longer an option, but has now become the only hope.
In Abia State, Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu’s government has played a huge role in creating a conducive environment for public-private sector partnership to thrive. Gov. Ikpeazu upon assumption of office quickly tackled the deteriorating macro-economic environment in the state and restored the confidence of private investors in order to improve the overall economic vibrancy of the State.
The success story of Enyimba Mall, which is a public-private partnership, is attributed to the pragmatic and coherent economic agenda of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu to rescue Abia from economic quagmire.
Mr. Chiedozie Njoku, the Managing Director of Checkbest International Limited, the developer of Enyimba Mall outlets shops in Aba, the commercial hub of the state, a real Estate commercial venture, appluaded the efforts of Gov. Ikpeazu in creating a conducive business environment in the State and stressed the need to replicate more of such mall in other parts of the state where it is commercially viable. Mr. Njoku also projected the fact that the real estate commercial investment will create job and reduce unemployment.
The Enyimba Mall, which is strategically situated in the commercial nerve center of the State occupies the space of 13, 856 square metres has with a good number of trading spaces with facilities such as ICT, security, borehole, car park, a Bank space, recreation centres and 24 hours solar integrated power supply and accessible road, will surely boost the economic vibrancy of the ancient city.
While the offtakers are traders who deal on various business including textile, electrical items and electronics, food, Banks, ete., you can also grab a space now for your own business.
The Enyimba Mall, which is purely a brain child of Checkbest International Limited, came about of the need for a modern shopping environment in Aba, that will enhance and invigorate the very nature of the ancient city and to have a well known commercial and industrial centre with a 21th century mall facilities. The project was made possible by the policies, enabling business and political atmosphere provided by the present administration, coupled with the sense of security and the developmental trends in road infrastructure.
Mr. Njoku appealed to other investors to come and invest in Aba. He reiterated that Aba and Abia in general is now a fertile ground for investment and thanked Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu for creating a good atmosphere for public-private partnership (PPP) to thrive in the state.
