ENUGU: Christmas, Salvation Army Envoy Urges Security Agencies To Go After Killers In Nigeria

The Territorial Envoy of the Salvation Army, Nigeria Territory, Dr. Levi Monanu, has condemned unwarranted killing of Nigerians, urging security agencies to go after the killers.

Monanu said this in his Christmas message made available to newsmen recently in Enugu

Monanu who is also the Chairman Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) South-East zone, said Nigerians should pray for God to end insecurity, killings, kidnappings going on in some parts of the country.

He urged government to do more to secure lives and property of citizens as enshrined in the Constitution.

While calling for peace across the country, Monanu called urged christians and wealthy people to use this period of Christmas to remember the poor among them.

He said, “Remembering the poor this season is the hallmark of Christmas celebration.

“Things are hard and we need to extend this love Christ has shown to us to others especially the needy amongst us.

The Envoy equally prayed for a peaceful polls in 2023, calling on the electorate to come out en mass to vote their choice candidates.

“Pray for peaceful Election next year,” he appealed Nigerians.

He also called on government to address unemployment which he observed was part of what is fuelling the agitations in some parts of the country.
