Emetu, Abia Dgov decorates promoted police aides

Abia State Deputy Governor Engr Ikechukwu Emetu has decorated two of his Police security guards who were among Police officers recently promoted.

Among those decorated include Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Bassey John from Akwa state, and Sgt Chukwuma Desmond from Bende, Abia State.

Engr Emetu, who decorated the officers in his Government House office, Umuahia, expressed his appreciation of the good working relationship with the promoted officer and commended the new ASP for his hard work and dedication to duty.

Engr. Emetu charged the officers to continue serving with integrity and dedication, protecting lives and properties, and ensuring that the state remains safe for its citizens.

“Congratulations on your promotion. I charge you to continue serving with integrity and dedication. Do not rest on your laurels, but instead increase your efforts in fighting crime and making sure our state is safe for everyone, Engr. Emetu said.

In his Speech, The Chief Security Officer to the Governor, CSP Ken Nwosu, represented by DSP Chukwuma, thanked the Deputy Governor for honouring the officers with the decoration ceremony.

He acknowledged the challenges of rising through the ranks and encouraged the officers to continue living by their oath of service.

Speaking on behalf of the decorated officers, ASP Bassey John expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with Engr. Emetu and commended the leadership of Governor Dr. Alex Otti for their effective handling of security matters.

He pledged that the officers would continue their commitment to achieving security goals and prayed for the success of the administration for second tenure.
