Embrace open communication, mutual respect, Emetu tasks the newly wedded.

Abia State Deputy Governor, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, has enjoined the newly wedded to uphold and embrace open communication and mutual respect for a healthy marital home.

Represented by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir. Chukwudi Eke Mba, during the reception ceremony of the holy matrimony between former Miss Chineye Emmanuela Etoamaihe and Mr. Chigozie Awa, which took place at Jubilee hall, Mater Dei Catholic cathedral, Umuahia, Emetu, described marriage as a union blessed by God, which lasts until death separates the couple.

He prayed God to bless the couple, strengthen, guide and protect and provide for them everything needed to run a smooth home.

In his speech, the Chairman of the occasion, Barr Okey Amaechi SAN while praying for the marriage to succeed, advised the couple to not make their marriage to fail and to all times emulate the footprint of their parents.

Amaechi who made Bible references on marriage and its success principles, advised them to seek God’s face whenever they have challenges.

The bridegroom who is the son of Chief (Barr.) Obasi Awa and His Worship Mrs Ngozi Obasi Awa of Asaga in Ohafia L.G.A, of the state, appreciated the dignitaries present and vowed to adhere to the admonitions and advises on successful marriage.
