Embrace hard work, integrity, innovative skills, Gov. Otti tasks Nigerian Youth.

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, has called on Nigerian youths to embrace integrity, hard work, and innovation as key drivers of personal and societal development. Governor Otti stated this during a courtesy visit made by the leadership of the Nigerian Youth Organization (NYO) at Government House, Umuahia.

Represented by his Deputy, Engr. Ikechukwu Lekwachi Emetu, FNSE, Otti urged them to always display a positive attitude in addressing issues and to remain focused on their goals despite challenges, highlighting that success comes through persistence and effort.

While describing the youths as agents of national development, the Governor encouraged them to actively engage in politics and leadership roles to contribute positively to nation-building.

Earlier in his speech, the President of Nigerian Youth Organization (NYO), Comrade Okorie C. Okorie described the organization as a national youth body founded in December 1980 as a trustee-based youth organization with a shared belief that the youth as a class, has a common destiny and obligation to society, the nation and humanity at large.

“…the organization’s desire is to serve as a catalyst for the promotion of peace and unity in Nigeria and to serve as a facilitator for inter-element/system dialogue, all to foster ideal and harmonious living among Nigerians,” said comrade Okorie.

He commended the leadership ingenuity of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, and pledged their support to his administration as progressive stakeholders in the Nigerian project.

The highlight of the visit was the conferment of a distinguished national merit award of excellence on the Governor as THE MOST DEDICATED NIGERIAN GOVERNOR in recognition of his administration’s commitment towards the overall development of Abia State and Nigeria at large. The Governor was also decorated as the National Executive Patron of the Nigeria Youth Organization.

The Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Sir Ananaba Nwadinma Nwaobilor, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Development, Comrade Onyebuchi Chukwu, Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment, Dr. Jay Martin, and other top Government functionaries witnessed the event.
